The Studio at The Quarry is buzzing! We've begun production of some incredible products that are already inspiring us with new ideas. Forgive me for going a little "over the top" on this video, but I just couldn't believe my eyes when we started laying out these tiles at the The Studio.

Ongoing projects right now include custom tabletops, 1/4 fossil stone tile (mixed with glass, metal, granite, and other precious stones), inlays and medallions.

It's a wonderful day in The Quarry neighborhood! We have an amazing new arrival to announce: Heartland Stone Tile.

Thanks to Nature, some creative thinking, and a very talented Quarryman, we've begun production of the first in a series of floor and wall tiles using our finest 1/4" to 5/8" Fossil, Custom, and Van Gogh materials.

I'll be replacing my Indian Multicolor entry and kitchen floors immediately with this! Unfortunately (and it's true for Chinese, Turkish, and other exotic slates), our multi-layer sedimentary floor is delaminating and disintegrating before our eyes...INSIDE our home.

Heartland Stone Tile, on the other hand, is produced from a single layer of rock. Both sides of each layer are unique in color and texture which permits a near infinite variety of custom color and pattern arrangements. Add the fact that this one-of-a-kind material is mined in only one place on the planet and you have all the the ingredients for a wall, floor, fireplace, shower, bar, or reception area like no other...inside or out.

Van Gogh 5/8" Ready to Ship

I couldn't help myself and just had to include this short clip. Large sheets of stone are always cool to look at, but when every sheet is 5/8" thick and bulletproof, it's something extremely rare. And the icing...it's the most amazing thing to just touch and gaze upon. Enjoy.

This is just a taste of what this unusual material looks like. I should have even better video later. It is one layer of stone 5/8" thick with two sides: Van Gogh and fossil. Enjoy.

Stone as Canvas

This is a beautiful set of 1 1/4" Heartland Stone that has the most unique blend of colors and occasional fossil trails. You may have seen colors similar to this but not painted on a stone canvas in such a wonderful way.
Again, it is a single layer of stone, not the usual multi-layer flake from other quarries. And the thickness is so consistent. You'd be lucky to see a single pallet like this on an entire truckload... once in a blue moon...let alone EVERY pallet (every time).
